Know all men by these presents, that we Simon Wolf and Lemuel Earles are held and firmly bound unto David Campbell Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars; to be paid to the said Governor for the time being, and his successors in office; to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, &c, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 26th day of April 1838.
The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bound Simon Wolf hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the County Court of Smyth, a License for his marriage with Jane Snider Daughter of Peter Snider of said County. If, therefore, there be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage, then the above obligation to be void.

Roland Wolfe to Elizabeth Goodpasture
Know all men by these presents, That we Roland Wolfe and William L. Goodpasture Are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to be paid to the said Commonwealth; to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, &c. jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, this 20 day of September 1848
The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bound Roland Wolfe hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the County Court of Smyth, a license for his intermarriage with Elizabeth L. Goodpasture of this County: Now, if there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.

Josiah Wolfe to Elizabeth Johnson
Know all men by these presents, That we Josiah Wolf and John Wolf are held and firmly bound unto Thomas W. Gilmer Esquire, Governor or Chief Magistrate of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to be paid to the said Governor for the time being and his successors, for the use of the Commonwealth; for the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Witness our hands and seals, this 22 day of September 1840
The condition of the above obligation is such, That whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Josiah Wolf and Elizabeth Johnson of the County of Smyth now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then this obligation is to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is shortly intended a marriage between Isarel Woolf and Sarah Copenhaver Now if there is no lawful cause to obstruct the same, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
