Drury S. Bishop to Ruthy Wolfe
Know all men by these presents, That we Drury S. Bishop and Martin Wolfe are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to be paid to the said Commonwealth; to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, &c, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 6th day of February 1849.
The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bound Drury S. Bishop hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the County Court of Smyth, a license for his intermarriage with Ruthy Wolfe of this County: Now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above obligation is to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.

Silas Wolfe to Elizabeth Farris
Know all men by these presents, That we Silas Wolfe Martin Wolfe and Conrad Farris are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to be paid to the said Governor for the time being and his successors, for the use of the Commonwealth; for the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Witness our hands and seals, this 12 day of August 1844
The condition of the above obligation is such, That whereas a marriage shortly intended to be hand and solemnized between the above bound Silas Wolfe and Elizabeth Faris of the County of Smyth now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then this obligation is to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended between Fountain Prater and Amanda Wolfe
Now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same,then this obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

The condition of the above obligation is such, That whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound John Gullion and Malinda Wolfe of the County of Smyth now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then this obligation is to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

Know all men by these presents that we Nathaniel Jones & Martin Wolfe are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth in the sum of one hundred fifty dollars to which payment well and truly to be made to the said Commonwealth we bind ourselves our heirs &c firmly by these presents, Witness our hands and seals this 9th day of March 1846
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Nathaniel Jones has this day obtained from the clerk's office of Smyth County Court a license for his marriage with Dicy Jane Wolf of Smyth County If therefore there be no lawful obstruction to said marriage then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bound William Dean Jr hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the County Court of Smyth, a licence for his intermarriage with Catherine Wolfe of this County: Now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above obligation is to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas the above bound Solomon Wolf hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the County Court of Smyth a License for his marriage with Polly Cowden Daughter of William Cowden of said County. If, therefore, there be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage, then the above obligation to be void.
