This Indenture made this seventeenth day of december one thousand eight hundred and five between Moses Allen of the County of Washington and State of Virginia of the one part and Michael Wolf of said County of the other part Witnesseth that the sd Moses Allen and Barbara his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the sd Michael Wolf at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowedged have granted bargened and sold and by these presents doth grant bargen and sell unto the sd Michael Wolf and his heirs and assigns forever, two certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the County of Washington containing one hundred and eighty acres be the same more or less and bounded as followeth Beginning at an ash and dogwood corner to John Iler and with the line thereof sixty four poles to a black oak on a ridge E 40 poles crossing the creek to a black oak and dogwood on the side of a ridge near the creek N eighty degrees E sixty poles to a white oak and dogwood sapling S 63 degrees E 40 poles to a white oak and red oak corner to John Anderson and with the lines thereof S 5 degrees W 100 poles to a sourwood & two dogwoods thence leaving sd line S 55 degrees W 100 poles to a white oak and sowerwood North 42 degrees W 125 poles to a dogwood and two sowerwoods on Philips land and with the lines thereof N 48 degrees E 58 poles to a beach by the creek N 36 degrees W 62 poles crossing the creek to the other tract of forty two acres lying in said County on both sides of McReynolds falling mill creek a north branch of the middle fork of Holstein river and bounded as followeth Begining at a white oak corner to Jacob Ilers survey raning thence N 51 degrees W 39 poles croosing sd creek to a black oak N 1 W 64 poles to an ash and dogwood leaving sd line with a line of Henry Janes survey N 5 W 68 poles to an Ironwood & witch hazel on some rocks on a line of said Janes patent land with the same S 52 W 62 poles to a forked sugar tree on the side of a hill leaveing Janes line S 55 E 1 pole and 20 links to an Ironwood and service tree on the side of a hill corner to McReynolds land and with his lines S 44 W 56 poles to a white oak S 36 E 82 poles crossing said creek to a beach east side of the branch N 85 E 50 poles leaveing sd line to the begining. Together with their appurtenances to Michael Wolf his heirs and assigns forever and the sd Moses Allin and Barbara his wife themselves ther heirs Executors and Administrators the sd tracts and parcels of land with the appurtenances unto the sd Michael Wolf his heirs &c against all persons whatsoever will forever warrant and defend In Witness whereof the sd Moses Allen and Barbara his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written.

This Indenture made this 19th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty one Between Jacob, Lawrence, Michael, George and Martin Wolf and Caty Wolf widow of Jacob Wolf decd Christian Horner & Mary his wife Adam Baugh and Molley his wife and Michael Baugh & Caty his wife of the one part and John Wolf of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Caty Wolf widow aforesaid Jacob Wolf Lawrence, Michael, George and Martin Wolf, Christian Horner and Mary his wife, Adam Baugh and Molley his wife, and Michael Baugh and Caty his wife heirs & legatees of Jacob Wolf decd for & in consideration of the sum of four hundred & sixty three dollars to them in hand paid before the ensealing & delivery of these presents by the heirs & legatees aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained & sold and by these presents do & each of them doth bargain & sell to the said John Wolf his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land ninety acres be the same more or less and lying in the said county of Washington & on a branch of Spruce creek the waters of the middle fork of Holstein river being the land conveyed to the said Jacob Wolf decd by Joseph Hoskins bearing date the 14th day of August 1799 and recorded in the county court of Washington and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a black oak & running west one hundred poles to a poplar & chesnut grub in John Oilers line North ten degrees East one hundred & sixty six poles to a black oak & hiccory on a high hill North eighty two degrees East one hundred & nineteen poles to a black oak South fifteen degrees West ninety two poles to two black oaks & chesnut South thirty eight degrees East seventy eight poles to the Beginning and one other tract or parcel of land containing fifty acres boundaries & courses per patent with their appurtenances To have and Hold the said tracts or parcels of land with their appurtenances to the sd John Wolf his heirs & assigns forever. And the said Jacob Wolf Lawrence, Michael, George and Martin Wolf Christian Horner & Mary his wife, Adam Baugh and Molley his wife and Michael Baugh and Caty his wife heirs as aforesaid & Caty Wolf widow aforesd and each of their heirs will forever Warrant and defend the sd tracts & parcels of land to the sd John Wolf & his heirs and assigns forever against the claim of themselves any one claiming under them & every other person or persons whatsoever. Know all men by these presents that whereas we Catharine Wolf and Mary Horner of the county of Knox & State of Tennessee having claim to a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the county of Washington & State of Virginia adjoining the lands of Lawrence Wolf, William Philips and Nicholas Wassum - Now know ye that we Catharine Wolf and Mary Horner of the county & State first above named have made constituted and appointed and by these presents do make constitute and appoint George Wolf of the county & State first above named our true & lawful attorney for us and in our names to sign seal execute & deliver a deed of a release or quit claim to John Wolf of the county of Washington and State of Virginia for the land above described & also to receive & receipt for such sum or sums of money as we may be entitled to in consequence of said release or quit claim. This Indenture made and entered into this nineteenth day of November eighteen hundred and eleven between Samuel Brittan and Mary his wife of the one part and Michael Wolf of the other part both of Washington County and state of Virginia Witnesseth, that the said Samuel Brittan and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the sd Michael Wolf before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the sd Michael Wolf and his lawfull representatives one certain tract or parcel of land containing by a deed of conveyance bearing date the 21st day of Oct 1794 from Stephen Wheeler and wife to the above bound Saml Brittan ninety acres more or less and bounded as follows to wit Beginning on a chesnut on the south side of a ridge a corner to William Philips part of the sd land and with a line of the said Philips south forty six east one hundred and fifty two poles to white oak on the patent line then leaving said Philips line or corner North forty eight degrees east ninety poles to a white oak and dogwood North twenty five degrees west sixty poles to a large poplar North fifty three degrees east twenty two poles to a white a corner to John Hibbons land and with a line of the same North thirty degrees west fifty two to a white oak ash and dogwood south sixty degrees west one hundred and fifty three poles to the Beginning also one other tract ajoining the above containing by deed of conveyance from William Brittan & wife to the said Samuel Brittan for forty acres Beginning at a stake on the north side of a knob running thence N 60 E 104 poles crossing a branch to a gum & small poplar on a Ridge S 40 E 52 poles to a white oak dogwood and ash by a branch and is a corner to Saml Brittans land above and the line thereof S 60 W 163 poles to a chesnut on a ridge corner to Philips land then N 14 E 72 poles to the Beginning with each of their appurtenances to have and to hold the said tracts or parcels of land with their appurtenances to the said Michael Wolf and his heirs forever and the said Samuel Brittan and Mary his wife for themselves and each and every of their heirs do covenant and agree with the said Michael Wolf and his heirs that he the said Samuel Brittan & Mary his wife and their heirs the said tracts or parcels of land with their appurtenances sold and intended to be sold to the said Michael Wolf his heirs and assigns against the claim of him the said Samuel Brittan and Mary his wife or any other person or persons whatever will warrant and forever defend. This Indenture made this 14th day of August one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine between Joseph Hoskins and Anna his wife of the one part and Jacob Wolf of the other part both of Washington County and State of Virginia Witnesseth that the said Joseph Hoskins and Anna his wife for and in consideration of the sum of ninety pounds to them in hand paid by the said Wolf before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said Joseph Hoskins and Anna his wife doth grant bargain and sell and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Jacob Wolf and his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing ninety acres be the same more or less lying and being in the said County of Washington and on a branch of Spruce Creek the waters of the middle fork of Holstein River granted to John Anderson by patent bearing bearing date the fifth of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty six and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a black oak corner to John Andersons land near a marked poplar West one hundred and thirty eight poles to a poplar chestnut grubb in John Oilers line North ten degrees East one hundred and sixty six poles to a black oak and hickory on a high hill North eighty two degrees East one hundred and nineteen poles to a black oak South fifteen degrees West ninety two poles to two black oaks and chesnut South thirty eight degrees East seventy eight poles to the Beginning and one other tract or parcel of land containg fifty acres per the Register receipt for the plat returned the fourteenth day of September one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight with their appurtenances To have and to hold the said tracts or parcels of land with their appurtenances unto the said Wolf and his heirs forever and the said Joseph Hoskins and Anna his wife and their heirs will forever warrant and defend the said tracts or parcels of lands with its appurtenances unto the said Jacob Wolf and his heirs against the claims of themselves their heirs and every person or persons whatsoever In Witness whereof the said Joseph Hoskins and Anna his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written.
