When a survey was made in 1930 for Irby Neal, his tract #1 was identified as "Lots No. 1 and No. 2 of the Tandy Welch land, which was assigned to Sarah C. Welch (Lot No. 1) and Rebecca Yeary and Thomas M. Yeary, her husband (Lot No. 2)" (see Sarah C. Welch for document). Rebecca and Tom lived in the log home that Tandy Welch had built on the bank of Powell River near the Baldwin Ford in Hancock Co., TN.
