Martin & Rachel Wolf to Michael Wolf

This Indenture made this 21st day of March 1840 between Martin Wolf and Rachel his wife of the part and Michal Wolf of the other part witnesseth that the said Martin Wolf and Rachel his wife for and in consideration (as well at the request of Perry G. Briantz to whom the said Martin Wolf has heretofore sold the underneath described tract of land for the sum of Three hundred Dollars which the said Perry has duly paid to him as) for the sum of one Dollar current money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said Michael Wolf the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do grant bargain and sell unto the said Michael Wolf the following tracts or parcels of land viz first tract lying and being in Smyth County on the waters of Hungers Mother containg six acres and one hundred poles and bounded as follows viz Begining at a white oak and dogwood stump on the north bank of a branch thence N 40 W 52 poles to a popular and gum S 60 W 25 poles to a hickory on a branch thence down the branch S 53 E 18 poles S 48 E 12 poles S 38 E 18 poles leaving the branch S 53 E 14 poles to a sugar tree on the south side of a spring and near the same N 36 E 14 poles to the begining the second tract adjoining the first containing three and a half acres and bounded as follows viz Begining at two white oaks by said Michaels meadow thence with his line N 30 W 52 poles to a white oak dogwood & ash N 10 E 38 poles to two white oaks S 73 E 88 poles to the begining the other tract containing fifty acres by patent bearing date the 20th day of January 1808 and issued in favour of Adam Baugh and by him sold to said Martin Wolf and for which the said Martin Wolf and for which the said Martin a title bond executed to him the 30th day of July 1817 by said Baugh with all their appertenances to have and to hold the said tracts of lands with with their appertenances unto the said Micheal Wolf and his heirs forever and the said Martin Wolf and Rachel his his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant with the said Michael Wolf and his heirs that they the said Martin & wife and their heirs the said tracts of six acres and one hundred poles and of three and a half acres shall and will warrant and forever against the claims of all persons whosoever and they will warrant and defend the said right to the said fifty acres from themselves and heirs and of no other person whomsoever. In witness whereof the Martin Wolf and Rachel have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals the day and year first herein written.
